A colossal winter storm over the weekend and on Monday brought snow, sleet and freezing rain to the US, killing at least 10 people, causing mass travel disruption and downing power lines. The US National Weather Service warned of “long-duration power outages, extensive tree damage, and extremely dangerous or impassable travel conditions” across the country.
